Industry-Leading Post-Production Studio Opens in Oklahoma

Apex Post Production, a state-of-the-art sound mixing and post-production facility, recently opened its second location at Filmmakers Ranch in Spencer, just outside Oklahoma City.

The facility features Oklahoma’s only Dolby Atmos-certified sound mixing stage, making it a premier destination for feature film, television, gaming, and music production. With its original location in New Orleans, filmmakers in the Midwest now have access to the team behind Disney’s The Little Mermaid and Amazon’s Daisy Jones & The Six.

Apex joins several support service companies at Filmmakers Ranch, a film production campus that houses three soundstages, six acres of backlot, and one of the state’s largest grip and electric companies.

  • Growing Film Industry: The studio is the latest movement in Oklahoma’s film and music industry. Thanks to notable film and TV productions, abundant training opportunities, quality studio space, and the state’s affordable quality of life, Oklahoma is quickly becoming a hub for entertainment careers.
  • Veteran Leadership: The facility is co-owned by Jon Vogl, a veteran sound mixer with over 30 years of experience on major films like 12 Years a Slave and Independence Day.
  • Cutting-Edge Services: Apex Post Production offers a buffet of services, including ADR & voiceover recording, sound editing and mixing, visual effects, color grading, and more, all contributing to the rapid expanse of Oklahoma’s film and music industry.
