Oklahoma City Street Art Ranked Among Best in the U.S.

Oklahoma City has been recognized as one of the top cities in the U.S. for street art, according to USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Ranking in the top 10 cities in America, Oklahoma City was nominated by an expert panel and voted as the 9th best in the country in 2025 by USA Today readers. The city was named the #1 best city for street art twice in 2021 and 2022.

The state’s capital city’s commitment to public art is evident in districts like the Paseo Arts District, known for its art galleries, studios, and colorful buildings, and the Plaza District, home of the Plaza Walls mural project, an outdoor gallery that regularly rotates fresh art from muralists across Oklahoma and the country.

For anyone thinking about moving to Oklahoma, Oklahoma City’s street art scene says a lot about what kind of state to expect — bold, unapologetically original, and heavily invested in strong communities. This isn’t a state trying to copy someone else’s culture. It’s building its own, wall by wall.
