FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center
Located in Oklahoma City, the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center is the largest Department of Transportation facility outside of Washington, D.C. The center is the backbone of the FAA, supplying crucial equipment and services across all of its operations. The center is also the prestigious home of the FAA Academy, where all of the nation’s air traffic controllers are trained.
Oklahoma Air & Space Port

American Airlines Maintenance and Engineering Center (AAERO)
Spanning a massive 246 acres in Tulsa, AAERO is the largest commercial Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) base in the world. Over 5,000 Oklahomans work at the center, keeping American Airlines’ aircraft in top shape. In 2023, the facility secured a hefty $22 million investment to make it even bigger and better.
