National Weather Center

The National Weather Center is the world’s largest collaboration of federal, university and private sector weather and climate organizations. Situated on the University of Oklahoma campus in Norman, the meteorology powerhouse is the nerve center for severe storm tracking and prediction across the United States.

American Airlines Maintenance and Engineering Center (AAERO)

Spanning a massive 246 acres in Tulsa, AAERO is the largest commercial Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) base in the world. Over 5,000 Oklahomans work at the center, keeping American Airlines’ aircraft in top shape. In 2023, the facility secured a hefty $22 million investment to make it even bigger and better.
