Google to Create Hundreds of Jobs in Muskogee, Oklahoma

When a global tech leader like Google keeps choosing Oklahoma as a place to expand, it says something big about opportunity.

In late 2025, Google announced plans for its third Oklahoma data center campus, part of its ongoing $9 billion investment in cloud and AI infrastructure across the state. The facility, planned near Summit and Council Hill in Muskogee, is projected to create 150 jobs with average salaries exceeding $65,000. The economic impact on the local community could exceed $8 billion annually.

For people considering moving to Oklahoma, the real impact is about more than square footage and server racks. It’s about what this kind of sustained investment signifies for life in one of the most affordable states in America.

With abundant land, a large workforce, and business-friendly leadership, Oklahoma has been on the map for data centers for years. Google’s second largest data center in the world has been steadily growing in Pryor since 2011, and the tech giant recently announced plans to add a second in Stillwater. Now, with Muskogee joining that roster, more communities are gaining access to Oklahoma’s growing tech ecosystem.

In medium-sized towns like Muskogee, Stillwater, and Pryor, these projects make life feel bigger. Along with more high-paying job opportunities, these expansions also come with substantial investment in each community, such as education programs, energy grid enhancements, and workforce support. Schools, small businesses, service providers, and community organizations feel the ripples as wages rise and local spending grows.

When “place” and “possibility” line up, everyday life becomes richer, not just in dollars and jobs, but in quality of life.
