Oklahoma Brewery Wins Gold at International Beer Competition

One of the best pints of beer in the world lives in Oklahoma too.

In May, Durant, Oklahoma-based Lost Street Brewing Co. brought home the gold at the 2025 World Beer Cup, taking top honors in the Scottish-Style Ale category. The brewery’s Stoneykirk Ale beat out competitors from across the globe.

While it’s a win for the Southeast Oklahoma town, it’s also a flex for the entire state of Oklahoma.

It’s part of a broader story unfolding across the Sooner State, where small towns are producing world-class products, and quality of life comes with a personal pour. From nationally ranked museums to Michelin-guide-worthy meals to a craft beer scene gaining international respect, Oklahoma is rewriting the script on what “living well” looks like.

In a world chasing prestige zip codes and overhyped cities, Oklahoma is brewing something slower, stronger, and more grounded. Where a gold medal ale comes from a family-owned brewery in a town where people still know your name and where the lifestyle is just as smooth as the finish on that winning pint.
